Session On Illicit Financial Flows From Africa

In a move to prepare for advocacy on the area of capital flight in Tanzania, Policy Forum is organising aspecial half-day discussion session on illicit financial flows from Africa.

Presenting at the session will be two prominent international experts on the topic namely: Raymond Baker (founder and CEO of the Global Financial Integrity, the leading global institute on illicit financial flow studies and country, region and global report publisher on the same, as well as Director of the Global Task Force on Financial Integrity, dealing with tax havens and illicit financial flows, and author of several books on the same topic), and Alvin Mosioma (Coordinator of the Tax Justice Network for Africa, an institution which aims to promote socially just, democratic and progressive taxation systems in Africa). The session will take the form of presentations which will be followed by interactive discussions including a Q&A session.

The session will be conducted on Tuesday 8th May, 2012 at the British Council Auditorium from 9.30 a.m to 12.30 p.m.after which we will offer lunch at the venue.
