Collaborative workshop of Uhakika wa Maji

Uhakika wa Maji Project and its partners (Shahidi wa Maji, TaWaSaNet, Ministry of Water, NEMC, African Civil Society Network on Water and Sanitation) will be holding a workshop on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th March at B-Z Hotel in Morogoro. With funding from DFID, Uhakika is a flagship project which uses social accountability and citizen agency to activate and advocate for better water resource management in Tanzania – for the benefit of all.

As well as introducing the project and approach the purpose of the workshop is to:

  • 1     Familiarise delegates with water resource management (WRM) in Tanzania and its importance for poverty reduction and climate resilient, sustainable and equitable growth
  • 2.       Provide a thorough understanding of policy, laws, regulations, processes and organisational responsibilities relating to WRM
  • 3.       Help delegates apply this knowledge in their work to solve and avoid problems for their stakeholders and beneficiaries
  • 4.       Explore and establish ways of co-operating.
