Abstract:

Poor people in Tanzania are facing multiple deprivations, more exposed to crimes and tend to be more fearful for their safety, new research findings have shown.

More than 50 per cent of people in the country are poor and vulnerable to risk including crime, states the Poverty, Gender and Crime report released by REPOA.
The poor hardly get access to security organs according to the research presented by Rose Aiko, Director of Governance and Service Delivery at Research on Poverty Alleviation (REPOA) during Policy Forum Breakfast talk in Dar es Salaam yesterday
